Go with Solahart. They've been around for the longest and have good quality systems that last for years. The inverters that they use are German (the inverter is the most important part of the system) and they have a 10 year warranty. The inverter is also expandable so you can put more panels on the roof at a later date. They're probably in the middle price range but I'd say they're the best value. A third of Chinese systems that have been installed over the past few years dont work, you get what you pay for!

I strongly disagree with J. You can have a solar panel system that will provide the energy you need without spending tons of money. We have customers that do that all the time.
I work for Acro Energy and we are extremely busy with residential systems, mostly because we have competitive pricing and quality work. We have many kinds of pricing for different levels of income, including lost cost or zero down programs. The multiple increases in utility costs from electric companies like PG&E has also helped convince many home owners to switch. The way I see it, a solar system to power your house will be as common as a refrigerator or a stove in a few short years. And as an extra bonus, solar also increases the home value too. We currently sell Hanwha 190 panels, which we haven't seen any complaints and we haven't seen any problems with. We do have a customer that requested Suntech 240 panels, but the price per panel is dramatically more. The average customer can't afford them. At Acro Energy, the both panels have a warranty of 25 years.
Please remember, each home is uniquely different. We customize solar panel systems to match. If you would like a free estimate for a home in California, Colorado or Hawaii, I would happy to refer to you one of our energy consultants. You are welcome email me directly at ntorres@acroenergy.com if you have any additional questions.

by employing paying for itself in 15 years, you're implying which you get $736.80 consistent with 12 months in electrical energy from it over the alternative of paying for generated electrical energy and by employing having to get replaced in 25 years you're saying that it has a useful existence of 25 years. for this reason the investment of $eleven,052 might nicely be equated with an investment at a compounding pastime fee given by employing: $eleven,052 = $736.80 * ( ( a million - a million / ( a million + r )^25 ) / ( a million - a million / ( a million + r ) ) - a million ) .: r = 0.0416 or 4.sixteen% consistent with annum via fact the present total marketplace fee to GDP ratio potential which you will get 4.5% consistent with annum from inventory marketplace investments, the image voltaic panel remains a unfavourable determination on you cash. No i does not make investments $eleven,052 for a image voltaic panel equipment without some subsidization. it may be extra effectual to place the $eleven,052 into an index fund until extra effectual technologies is obtainable.

The true answer is the largest one you can afford.
If you are able to do some of the installation work- it will save you money. If you need to rely on someone to do the entire install, expect to pay a lot because at least half of that amount if not more will be labor.
