Incorporating drought-tolerant and/or wildlife-friendly plants into your garden. Preferably species native to your area, as local fauna is best adapted to those plants. The perk is that you save money by having to water less, and you can enjoy the birds, butterflies, lizards, etc. that visit or live in your yard.

Garden organically. The benefits are enormous. Your yard is safe for children and pets, you can enjoy fruits and vegetables that are grown locally without chemicals, and you won't be contaminating soils and contributing to polluted runoff into streams, lakes, even the ocean. You'll enjoy more beneficial insects, which will in turn attract more bird species, at least seasonally.

Educate yourself so you can share your knowledge with friends, family and coworkers. You don't need to preach! It's amazing how often a topic comes up where your comments can help emphasize how very important it is for people to help giving nature a helping hand!

So many more, but that's a good start!

Hi!

1: Learn the wisdom to see through the designer gear mentality that has people (often children) kept impoverished in sweat shops making the "goods" that we so stupidly crave.

2: Use for purpose not for vanity - such as making, wearing and maintaining by mending clothing that keeps us warm and dry instead of going for throw away fashions; building simple homes / cars etc to last and that are easily maintained rather than complex stuff because it is "in" and that people get fed up with and replace.

A classic item that is too complex now for the average person to maintain is the bicycle. Before complicated gear systems, a good basic bike needed little more than the occasional puncture fixing or the brake blocks changing and a little oil. Now I see otherwise intelligent people struggling to peddle bikes in the wrong gear because they don't know how to adjust them and when they break (a few months after purchase usually) they replace them.

Good wishes.

Two main thinks to help Environment.

1.Keep your House Neat & Clean. I mean Platic Free.

For e.g. When you are going to market for Purchase take one Big Cottong Cloth Bag and whatever you are purchasing put in your Big Cottong Bag and bring it to your Hosuse. If Vendor Provide Platic Bags Do not accept it.

2.DO NOT DUMP MATERIALS:

Plan before buring any items like Car, Bike, Refrigerator,A/C Machine, Cooler, Music system,TV.

First dispose/sent it for recycle and then bring new one.

E.g. First dispose your old Car and bring new Car.

Sameway keep ONE GOOD HOUSE, if necessary keep FARM HOUSE also. Do not buy morethan one House.

Many people buy more House ( To Cheat Tax) and they are not giving either for Rent not for Sales.

Simple Formula: Keep one car or Bike/One House and do not dump materials.

3.Cement Area in House: Please ensure atleast alot 300 to 400 SQFT for Garden and also make a RAIN HARWEST PIT ( to harvest rain water during Rainy season)

Vegans don't eat meat, so they don't support the animal abuse going on in some slaughter houses. One Vegan can save over 100 animals a year just by not eating them.

Don't bash, I'm not a Vegan.

The best we can do as individuals is be more responsible ,in our own neck of the woods

Organize well publicized clean up parties ,talk on the radio

Have citizan meetings

Get the schools involved to plant trees and listen to environmental awareness talks,

If you do any cleaning up leave signs behind saying who cleaned, why and ask people not to start dumping rubbish again ,leave a hole or bins ,in case people come with trash ,

POSITIVE ACTIONS)

Classify trash take out all the organic waste and make compost with it ,the worst you can do is throw it with the trash

70% of contamination is due to organic waste that is mixed in with the garbage .

And it is just as bad in the sewer where it helps to breed rats and in the landfill it poisons the ground

And it is the easiest to take care of

o first of all we have to clasify trash at least keep the organic to one side ,like in a plasic bin with a lid

If you got a few meters of ground ,you only need 1 or 2 square meters in a shallow hole ,in the shade ,that you can wet now and again ,where you dump everything that is organic ,from toilet paper, bones vegetable cuttings ,eggshells,,,excrement ,and cover regularly with leaves to keep humid and to hide any smell

the worms will come and decompose the wastes turning it into beautiful black soil for the garden of flower pots .

If you are in an apartment ,if you have a balcony get a big plastic bin drill some holes in the side and lid ,

Add a few buckets of sand now and again to put over the trash ,you should really stir or move the stuff at times to airate it and ensure that the decomposition is overall ,keep moist

This rubbish does not get big very fast and the thing works for a long time with out getting full

If you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to slowdown the destructive processes

Reduce carbon emissions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, power plants etc.

Water harvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground water flows from the rains into the ground to supply subterranean water supplies.

The protection of existing forests.

Stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.

Education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.

Education on environmental awareness

education on family planning to curb over´population

Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.

More environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks

More dams.regulations and control for public behavior

Alternative efficient public transport to discourage the use of the internal combustion engine
