That depends on the which part of Asia are you living in. What is the latitude of your location?

Solar panel work best at latitude closer to the equator. Higher latitude region is harder to install solar panel as the seasonal weather pattern of winter will affect the effectiveness of solar panel energy production. Besides, tropical solar insolation radiation measurement is higher compared to the higher latitude region.

Major drawbacks for solar power is that the efficiency of the solar panel is relatively low and losses of energy is high as the panels produces DC current. Low efficiency of solar panel will lead to large area for installation of solar panels while DC current cannot be directly integrated into the national grid.

Wind power is not very suitable for Asia country. Check the following link and see whether or not wind is suitable for you. Most Asia region are in shades of blue which is lower than the average wind speed. Remember, the region with bright orange and above is wind speed above average. Those locations are the best to install wind farm.

Wind farm can be built on a large empty area or in the ocean. Ocean wind farm is not advisable as the China Sea region have a high tendency for violence weather.

However, wind power is a more reliable energy source and at some other countries it is already being implemented on a commercial scale.

Solar energy would be the most effective and the best choice. Both wind turbines and solar panels are expensive, but in the long run, solar panels will last longer.

Birds or bats can fly into the turbines, causing major damage that would take a lot of money to replace or fix.

The wind turbines also create a lot of noise, which can be disruptive. Solar panels don't have those problems- plus there is a lot of surpus energy created. Many people sell the extra energy back to the power plants.

You can calculate your energy by looking at the electricity bill and maybe going to the manufacturers of the solar panels (or if the wind turbines if you decide on that option) and talking to them about it. They would probably be the most knowledgeable about the subject.

Good luck!

I would go with solar simply because it is easier to install. Any distributor that you buy from will be able to help you determine how much solar surface you would need to supply your house etc. But solar can not only generate electricity through panels but you can also heat your home, water for bathing and more. Do your research online to find out more about how solar energy can help you. There is lots of information out there.

solar is the best but a bit expensive than wind.In terms of durability solar serve as the best and efficient.
